A quote I stole from another thread...Callouses

"...it is a fact that the intact penis is more sensitive than the cired one simply because the glans is meant to be internal and by rubbing on clothing it creates friction and a build up of callous that reduces the feeling."

Can we discuss this quote? I borrowed it from the teenage thread...hope you don't mind.

Is there anything that can be done to prevent this from happening? My husband is circumcised.

By the time a circumcised man has reached adulthood, most of the damage has already been done.

You might want to check out the restoration stickie...he might be able to get some back.

I cannot see how one can prevent the exposed penis from keritinizing (callousing) from exposure. The peinis is an internal organ covered in mucousal tissue. That forever changes when the protective skin is removed. The only thing that can be done to reverse this is foreskin restoration which is a lengthy process of gently stretching the skin causing it to grow. Foreskin restoration is not something that is discussed here because it gets into issues of sexual sensitivity and function that are beyond the scope of the forum. You can do an internet search and learn a lot about restoration. It is possible to get penile coverage which will allow the glans (head) of the penis to return to mucousal tissue.

Foreskin restoration discussion is beyond the current scope of this forum, however, we encourage those interested to check the Web Resource Thread for further information and helpful sites devoted to this topic.
