Can you overdo eggs for a 10 mo?

Hey gals,
DS is doing great w/ self-feeding and one of his favorites is his morning egg (yolk) with some basil. I came across something that said you can do eggs, "a few times a week" and that got me wondering if an egg yolk a day was too much. Any ideas? If it is, why? Thanks!

Didn't seem to bother my daughter. DD3 was fed egg yolks pretty much every morning when she was that young and she still eats them quite a bit.

What was your source?

yolks are supposed to be great food for baby because of the iron, protien and fat content. i wonder if what you read was talking about cholesterol? i know adults arent supposed to eat eggs every day, but i wouldnt worry for a baby.

i found this:
Egg yolks supply cholesterol, which is needed for mental development. Remember, babies need fats. Organic, cage-free chicken's egg will also contain omega-3 fatty acids that stimulate brain development. Feeding your baby one egg yolk every day from the age of five or six months will provide these essential nutrients, as well as vitamin A and amino acids.

while i disagree with many of the other ideas on that website, the egg info seems sound.

i think i read the same thing and it's had me concerned about dd's egg intake too, but she still gets her yolks pretty regularly (4-5x a week). i've also read that everyday from age 4 mo. is ok too so who knows what to think! the quality of the eggs is the big thing really, our chickens have free run of the yard and woods for forage so their eggs are very good.
