UGH! My pump died!

Well, it lasted through DD1 for 19+ months and and DD2 who is now 11 months. And I WOH FT, so for the last 8 months I've been pumping at least 3 times a day, 5 days a week.

Found a store locally that has my brand (Ameda Purely Yours) and I guess I'm buying another one. Totally sucks to be dropping another $150 right before the holidays, on an 11 month old baby, but she's still 95% BF due to her stomach issues with a lot of table food.

I guess I have no choice really. The APY is cheaper than the PISA, and reviewed better than the Lansinoh double electric that's about the same price. I mean, I'm happy with this pump, I just wish it lasted another, oh, 12-13 months! LOL!

I've heard some good things about insurance covering a new pump - have you checked there first?

Yeah, the rep for my carrier laughed out loud at me when I asked if pumps were covered. Lovely customer service!

So I went and got it. Cool thing is, they worked with me and sold me exactly what I needed (just the motor, none of the other parts, accessories or carrying bag) for cheaper than I thought I was going to have spend!

Oh, I wish I'd seen this before you bought a new one. Ameda overnight shipped me a new one when my PY broke; and it was well past the warranty. Maybe try anyway if you haven't opened the new one.
