Scrapbooking stickers for babies... endorsing formula, no word about nursing

Ok that might sound weird, but I finally started to work on DS's scrapbook and I bought sets of boyish stuff at Joannes and Walmart.
Both sets contain stickers of bottles and one says "Pass the formula!". There is no "I want to nurse" sticker or something like that. I just find it sad that there is no cute sticker to add to the pics of DS nursing voraciously. Yet bottles and formula are routinely included and "endorsed".
I'm sort of bothered by that.

You're right, it's very sad .

How long before breastfeeding is normalised?

we had that sme issue . Its really sad . Its not even the seperate but equal Breast feeding is so ignored

"Pass the formula"?!?! Why not at least "Pass the milk"??? Oi...that's so annoying.

I got a few that say "got milk" on a bib and a tiny sleeper

The only breastfeeding-friendly outfit I ever saw IRL was a onesie we bought for DS when he was a baby (from an adult shop ) That said "I boobies" and it got lots of laughs and never a bad comment (that I heard). I've looked around craft stores and such and all the baby shower stuff has bottles all over it. Baby dolls almost always come with a bottle. Baby clothes and bibs have bottles. It's assumed that baby = bottle. It sucks that "breast" is still kind of a dirty word in this country.

Oh yes, I feel your pain. I am an avid scrapbooker and have seen the "pass the formula" stickers. It is sad really. I have never seen a sticker promoting nursing or anything.

I'd make a small addition: "Pass ^ON the formula!"

Is there anything scrapbook-y in the Cafepress.com Lactivist stores? If not, you can probably make something. Or, get some sticker-paper and design your own with a desktop publisher...

I would be very tempted to write a letter to the seller and manufacturer of the sets, though. Joanne's might be receptive-- here's a link to the comments section of their webpage: http://www.joann.com/joann/common/contactus.jsp . Walmart, I'm not so sure, but you could always try. Framing your "suggestion" in a marketing based way might get the best results-- "I recently purchased supplies to create a scrapbook about my baby, and I was surprised to find stickers referencing formula and bottle-feeding, but none referencing breastfeeding. As a breastfeeding mother, it seems that this product line is ignoring a large potential market!" The might be particularly effective as a written letter from a group of nursing/scrapbooking moms.

Or better yet "I recently purchased... and have returned my purchases and none of my friends are buying scrapbooking supplies from you and several have returned supplies they previously purchased."

Did I get this right - you get "Pass the formula!" in scrapbook supply stores but "I love boobies!" in an adult shop???
Something is wrong here.

Maybe it is late, but I keep seeing boob stickers in my head, and it cracks me up.
ITA though, that they need to start branching out into natural feeding scrap booking stuff.

I found some! This is a scrapbooking site geared towards preemies and they have a page of breastfeeding stickers. It's a start!

Thanks for sharing. I love the "art of discretion" - I think I'd use this for one of those "sitting on the couch with my udders out" pictures.

That *is* disappointing, but I would probably make my own.

I don't know if this link is going to work, but my friend bought this onesie for my son and her son - I loved it.
