Reversing a reverse cycler

Has anyone managed to change a baby's nursing pattern from nursing mostly at night to mostly during the day? DD is almost 5 months old and she just doesn't seem to like to nurse during the day. It doesn't seem to matter what we do or don't do. We could spend all day at home and be bored or go out and stay busy and she would still only nurse maybe two or three times during the day. She used to nurse about every 3 hours at night, but has switched to every 2 hours (and she really drains my breasts).

I've tried to just offer my breast to her throughout the day and all she does is start a letdown and lounge in my arms while looking quite uninterested in nursing.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

No suggestions, but my 3 month old is starting to do the same thing!

My other two weren't like this, so this is new to me.

Subbing.

My 7mo has started to do this recently. I think there is way too much exciting stuff happening during the day for her to think about nursing. Even if we stay at home, she has her big brother to be entertained (distracted) by.

I tried again today to just keep on offering my breast to her...my little darling put my nipple in her mouth and looked at me with an expression that said "what do you want me to do with this? I am not in the mood for eating."

I know I'm kind of resurrecting the dead here... But have you made any progress? Anyone have anything else to add?

My DS is waking at night every 2 hrs (or more) to nurse. I'm going crazy because DH works midnights, and I'm home alone most nights. I'm so tired that I'm starting to get frustrated and resentful. And I'm a zombie at work, so something needs to change.

Any help would be appreciated!
