we eat lunch and dinner at home, i am looking for gfcf recipes that can be done on a weekly-biweekly basis. so far this is what i've got

spagetti with meat sauce

roast chicken with potatoes

vegetable soup (cooked with a turkey neck)

I guess i am looking for more like what will your kids eat. i could use a legume based dish or 2. the ones that they used to love, they have gotten tired of. 2 yrs ago they loved sausages, but last year wouldnt touch them. hanen't tries in a while. i am considering trying sheppards pie (me and dh like it) but i am worries the kiddos will nix it. advice? ideas? all appretiated.

We like to do hamburger salads Brown some meat, chop up some veggies and serve it over greens. It's yummy, fast and a great way to get my 4-yo to eat greens. I also do sausages, cabbage, apples and carraway a lot.

I am easily bored so I keep easy standbys for when I need it and experiment with new recipes often. My stand-bys are:
For ground beef, we eat meatloaf (I make mine with leftover rice), meatballs (rice or gf breadcrumbs), un-tacos (tacos with romaine lettuce leaves instead of tortillas 'cause we can't do corn either), shepard's pie, chili, or hamburgers (no buns). About once a month I make a beef roast. Maybe once every six weeks I make stew.
For chicken, I roast a big chicken every Sunday for dinner and have one leftover chicken meal a week, usually stir-fry, sometimes soup, would do chicken salad if we could have mayo. Another fav chicken meal is grilled jerk chicken, collard greens and sweet potatoes.
For pork, I make cranberry sauce to top baked pork chops, local brats from pastured pigs that I am addicted to slathered with mustard and kimchi, pork roast cooked in salsa verde for un-tacos, sausage stuffed acorn squash, split pea soup with ham.

Would they eat chili? We eat chili all winter long. Usually red chili but sometimes white chicken chili also.

So we do a meatzza. Ground sausage/ground turkey pressed into the bottom of a casserole dish baked at 350 for 20 minutes. Cover with sauce and veggies. We like spinich, grilled onions, and grilled zukes. Bake until bubbly. You can use almond cheese/rice cheese if you like it. It is great and cuts the desire for real pizza

My dd loves lentils... soup, salad, just cooked and served with salt over rice with spinach. We do the lentil soup in the NT cookbook, but leave it chunky, toss in some canned tomatoes, cook with smoked turkey legs or wings in homemade broth, and greens. Usually a box of frozen spinach, or collard greens or sliced up kale. What about a curried lentil, like a dal--soooo yummy too! and warm and filling.

Lentil salad with just cooked lentils, mixed with an oil/vinegar dressing, roasted veg, some goat cheese and over greens. Soooo good--even during the winter.

Lots of chili, Shepherd's pie/Cottage pie, roast chickens--I do 2 at a time, and we eat for about 3-4 nights and I make stock out of the bones and bits. Minestrone type soup with meat, beans lots of veggies. I really like the quickie pea soup in NT.. just frozen peas, an onion, we add celery, broth... blitz and good to go. Nice with a bit of mint too.

What about stirfries? would that work? I am doing a ground meat/cabbage one tonight. Soooooo good! use wheat free soy sauce....

painefaria--I am going to have to try that meatzza! I love pizza and with being diabetic, cant have the crust!

We do lots of legume based curries. I use home made turkey or chicken stock and coconut milk to thicken. DD loves the stuff, and will eat greens this way.
This is what we ate tonight - white beans, sweet potatoes, kale frozen from summer, coconut milk, chicken stock, toasted cumin seeds, ginger, garlic, curry powder. Delicious!

Eggs are easy and infinitely variable.

We do gf soaked pancakes for lots of meals.

Pizza with a cauliflower crust. Oh yum.

ETA: Guess you'd have to experiment with a rice cheese in there instead of the mozz though.

Oh my goodness, I've been looking for a grain-free pizza crust that actually turns out really good for the last 2 weeks now, and I think this may be the perfect one. The pictures of the crust look beautiful, lol. Now, I think I need to go buy a ricer tool to make the "riced cauliflower" because I'm definitely going to make this.
