someone gave my 2yo dd a leapfrom 'my friend violet'. i hate the stupid thing and would like to get rid of it, except dd loves to hold it and listen to the bedtime music at night. i can actually turn it on and leave the room and she falls to sleep quickly and quietly on her own. granted this is after stories and nursing. if i lay there with her she will wiggle and play for a long time. or until she asks for her 'puppy' at which point i give it to her, turn on the music, leave, and she konks out within 5 minutes. i hate having her become attached to a thing, but i do love not lying there for an hour or more. bedtime is so much quicker. i actually have some time to myself in the evenings!
