I'm not Wiccan (dabbled for a while, but it wasn't for me) but follow another pagan path, and I also notice signs of my Gods all around me. I didn't really notice it before, but ever since I felt a calling toward this particular path, I see them everywhere. So it's also possible that you're now noticing these signs because you're feeling a calling to that religion.

I do think it's important that the religion you choose matches up with where you are on your path. If you need more female energy in your spiritual life, honor that in whatever way works for you.
Your noticing all of these things could be because there is some desire in you to explore Christianity in a new way or it could just be a heightened awareness of how dominant Christianity is in our culture. Only you can discern which is true for you and then go from there.

i've had similar experiences, and when discussing it with someone wise, she suggested that maybe i receive messages with a christian perspective because it's what i know - the songs, the scripture, the symbolism. it's not where i am right now and not where i feel led, but it's where i've been, my mother tongue, and since i already understand the language, maybe it's the clearest and simplest way for me to receive comfort or guidance. even though it's not part of your life now and doesn't mean what it once did, you can still listen and ask, "what does this mean to me now?"

Ooh I like that perspective. I would never have looked at it that way.

What if it is the God calling out to you in a familiar way?

I'm an eclectic pagan, and Jesus is totally my go-to guy when the poo hits the fan and I need to make a direct petition to the Universe...I may have rejected the church I was raised in and most of Christian dogma, but talking to Jesus was my earliest spiritual language and I believe that he was a real person, and that his spirit of pure love, healing, and compassion is now available to all people at all times, regardless of their specific religion.

So when people, even evangelical Christians, tell me Jesus is reaching out to me, I try to tune into his energy and see what's up.

I feel the same way about John Lennon, by the way, but nobody has ever told me John Lennon was reaching out to me

I think it's healthy to explore anything that resonates within you.

The nice thing about being pagan is that you don't have to fit into a mold.

Jesus had wonderful teachings. He believed in compassion and was a great liberator. There is no reason you can not feel comforted by this and HAVE to be Christian. Many of us Pagan use other dieties within worship, so Jesus is nothing different.

Also, I think when you are brought up a certain religion it is easy to revert back to that without thinking. Because it is what you know, and sometimes it conjures familiar feelings.

i am of celtic origin so one would think that would be the place for me to look.

No Problem! It's important that you feel right with it. It sounds like Apollo may have some pull for you.

Personally, I think of Jesus as a great Shamanic teacher. And even though I am now pagan, there are still ways that I connect with Spirit which come from my upbringing.

these all made sense to me. maybe it was the easiest way to get my attention.

i'm going to read more about apollo and have decided to look up lugh as well. maybe that wildness that i feel with the celtic energies will result in more power if i can kind of get in tandem with it or align with it. (ADD moment: that just reminded me of Captain Kirk yelling to Scotty over the coms "We need more power!" )

I was thinking about the feeling you described with Celtic energies, and I thought that sometimes the really intense energy isn't always a bad thing.

Good luck! You sound like you're on a wonderful path of self discovery.
