Best light-up toy?

Hello. My 4.5-month-old doesn't love the car seat in general, but he is especially likely to get upset while riding in the car at night, I think (at least in part) because he can't see anything (including his toys) in the dark. So I would like to get him a soft toy that lights up for use in the car. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Does he cry pretty much every time he's in the car? I ask because we found DD2 to really, really hate the infant (bucket) seat AND the Evenflo Triumph in DH's car, but NOT in mine. The only thing we could figure was that she was in DH's car primarily at night. We figured it was car headlights from behind, or that she'd had a long day and was fussy, it was dark and she couldn't see her sister, or well, we came up with lots of reasons she might be unhappy.

Turns out, though, she just hated her seat. Now that she's in a different RFing convertible (Britax Roundabout, not that it matters really), she's much, much happier.

I have no idea if the angle was different, if the seat was situated so that the headlights of cars behind DH's car were shining in her eyes, or what.

But for us, changing the seat made all the difference.

This isn't a soft toy but my 4.5 mo. old LOVES her Mozart Magic Cube. Its her one plastic toy and she can play with it for ages. It plays different Mozart songs and then breaks them up by instrument-piano, violin, harp etc. Each of the buttons lights up. Its hard plastic so hmmm. perhaps not so safe for the car if it were to fly around- maybe just if someone is in the back playing with him.
Here's the info anyway:

Good luck finding the right toy to keep your LO happy (and safe)!

Thanks for your reply. We actually have a Britax Roundabout, and he seems pretty comfy in it. No, he doesn't cry every time he's in the seat (though he did as a newborn... unless he was sleeping). He will now play happily with toys (and/or someone in the backseat, if I'm not driving with him alone) a lot of the time, but he still cries/complains if he is sleepy, if the trip is too long, and often (though not always) at night. (I don't expect a light-up toy to magically cure his dislike of the carseat; I just thought it might help some and he'd enjoy it. )

nak

my DD loves her Sea Horse.
http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...ductId=3104466 It glows and plays water sounds and music. It's soft, so i feel its relatively safe for in car use. It sure keeps her calmer when its dark in the car

Thanks to everyone for the suggestions. I ordered him one of these seahorses last night.
