Welcome to Decembers Thread for pregnant and 35+

I will be managing the thread for the month of December. If you have any updates, highlight the updates in your post and I will update the first post.

I just scrolled through the list and here are some due dates that are fast approaching:

ears73 - 12/7/09
gon2be - December '09
gypsyhips26 - 12/30/09
Ella-6 - 1/1/10
Kidzaplenty - early Januray '10
mama in the forest - 1/5/10,
sunshadow - 1/14/10
jillmamma - 1/30/10

thewaggonerfamily - 11/3/09! Any updates!

Note about me: I am 43years and 29 weeks pregnant. Due end of Feb. Uneventful pregnancy as far as issues go. Bags under my eyes and easily fatigued. But loving being pregnant and a blessing.

I'm here. And itching to hold this WO in my arms! Although I have not figured out how I am going to break it to my LO (who is only 16month and still nursing). He is so clingy and needy. This really is going to be so much fun at the beginning!

I turned 35 last week, so I'm officially of Advanced Maternal Age. Break out the walker and the maternity leisure suit! 10w4d. Still sick as hell. The zofran is helping some, thankfully. But my uterus has been really weird the last day and a half. It was all hard, like a bh, but for 12 straight hours, Saturday night and Sunday morning. I think it was related to some (explainable, non-pregnancy related) bad back pain, because shortly after the back felt better, the hard, contract-y feeling stopped.

Thanks for the new thread!

24 weeks and 36 years. I suppose I am of Advanced Maternal Age as well. This is #5 for me (#6 pregnancy). I would like to be added to the list, but my pregnant tired brain can't figure it out right now how to bold anything.

Still here, still pregnant! I'm due this week, but have never had a baby on or before my due date. I typically go 1-2 weeks past, so I'm expecting a baby by Christmas. To go past Christmas would be uncharted territory for me, but I suppose it's possible.
Feel great, no complaints. Have gained 25 lbs, still lots of movement from baby. Have had prenatal care since 22 weeks with a GP, but am planning a UC. I think it will be too freakin' cold to go out anyways. It's -26 C here today! Brrrrrr....
24 weeks along now, just 16 weeks to go. feeling good, and suddenly young. definitely younger than the 41 years my passport says.....but the other day I had to realize: I will be 42 when baby will be born, and when my mom was 42, I was 16. Can't imagine parenting a 16-year old right now. Hope I will be postmenopausal when my girl hits puberty..........;-)

I'm 36 and 5 weeks pregnant with my first - excited to be a part of the advanced club - that means we're REALLY good right?
Yes, we're like the Honors/AP class!
yay, SunRise, thank you for the new thread!

great to hear updates from everyone, especially those of you who are about ready to welcome your little ones.

i can hardly believe it, but i'm 22 weeks today, wait, 23? no, 22 it is. since the baby has started to move daily, and several times a day, all of the sudden my worry and waiting have melted away. i'm sure as soon as it sinks in that i'm almost to 3rd tri, i'll find something to obsess over

i feel really funny showing off my bump, so i've been wearing roomier stuff when i go out. at home, not so much, heh. i keep thinking there will be a day when i feel comfortable to be showing? i tend to be shy of attention, especially to my physical body...

Its not your brain! I will add you to the post. (To bold in your own post, highlight the contents that you want to emphasize and click on the B button (above the writing block))

Do you have an estimated due date and how old will you be at delivery (so I can add this info above (as the others are listed)) Thanks.

Maybe in a few weeks, when more people know, you will not be as concerned. But I understand. I was wearing scarves and vests in September. I told myself it was because of the cool weather in the morning, when I got dressed, but when I picked up my son in the afternoon, I kept it all on... shy about attracting attention (with all the parents picking up their kids).

I'm subscribing....hope thats okay - even though baby is 10 weeks old now.

The weather is cold where I am too! brrrrr. I love it because I'm so ready for winter. I do try to get outside for at least a few minutes each day (if possible) with the baby.

It's so nice to see some new pregnant mama's on here over 35. I'll enjoy following you in your journeys.

Yep, getting close! 32.5 weeks here and feeling HUGE! Still 36 years old too. Now if she would just get her head off my sciatic nerve...

Um, yeah. When my mom was 37, I was 14. Seems so weird!
I was only 5 when my mother was the age I'll have this kid at. But my DD will be 12.5 when this kid is born, and probably 15-18 when the next (and last) kid is born.
OK! I am ready to join, too! I will be 36 tomorrow, so 36 when Baby comes around 3/9/2010. My DH is 42. We have two boys, Daniel is 6 1/2 and Peter is almost 3.

My mother was 40 when she had her youngest of the five she had. I agree with a poster above -- we are advanced because we're better at it by now!

I am having my third home birth, and using hypnobabies this time (fingers crossed!).

I must say that I also enjoy reading my DDC, which is full of younger ladies -- they crack me up with their sex drives and all that. Oh, young people, you are so funny!
I'm 12 weeks into my 5th pregnancy. My 'normal' pants are starting to feel to tight so I tried maternity pants this morning but they slid right off! I have the start of a nice bump, but not big enough that people who don't know me would comment. I'm hoping for a nice growth spurt so I can actually wear clothes that don't squeeze me too much or fall off!
