I live pretty close to the Biltmore House. It's a great place, but I've only been there once in my whole life and lived here my whole life.

I loved the bluegrass playing kids too. They were wonderful! And that little boy sure could pick.

I noticed that there hasn't been a new episode in a while? Is there a pause in filming due to the recent birth? I know last time Mama Dugger had a baby, that was the end of the season (not that I blame her, who wants to be on tv with a brand newborn) or do you think they're just on a break and will be coming back?

i watched it for the first time today. it was the episode where they met kirk cameron. i know nothing about the show and thought the family seemed lovely. but other than can you tell me why i should watch more regularly, because based on that episode, i'm not sure i'd be inclined to.

Yes you can - I purchased 17 Kids and Counting on DVD at Target a few months back and I know that both 17 Kids and Counting and 18 Kids and Counting are available for purchase on DVD from Amazon and target.com

That episode kinda sucked, actually. Watch a couple more and see if you're into it. I love the show just because I'm such a voyeur. lol.

I think the shows on TLC usually takes a winter break anyway. But usually they are back towards the middle/end of January. I am not sure if they have anymore material that has already been taped, I don't think they have been taping since Josie was born. So they might be on break until Feb or March even.

I hunted around on the website and didn't see a date for new shows. Boo. I was wondering if they weren't filming after the birth, too. Was that the end of season 3? I wonder when that will be available on dvd.

Josie is Michelle and Jim Bob's new baby (#19), born prematurely. Josh and Anna's baby is Mackynzie (spelling?).

I love the Duggars!

Getting caught up on the 18 Kids and Counting dvds and watched the episode in which they said goodbye to Grandpa Duggar. It was so beautiful - I'm glad they chose to share such a personal, intimate moment in their lives with us. It was done really well and respectfully.

I for one like the show because they show them cooking and caring for all those children and for the specials like birthday celebrations. They also home school and I do as well so I like that. I just wish TLC would show them more around their house doing stuff. They're starting to get away from that.

Yeah, I agree that episode was stupid. I don't like the ones where they are "set up" to do things, like go on a morning show in NYC or take big trips. I like the ones (especially the older ones) where they show how they grocery shop, how they divide up chores, what they do each day.

Maybe try to catch some older episodes? If you can, the one where they were in the "old" house was neat. I think they only had 2 normal sized bathrooms for everyone at the time (a girls' and boys' bathroom).

I think it has been on winter break. But I just saw a commercial that will be showing baby #19's birth on Sunday Jan. 31 @ 8/7c The title of the show is Special Duggar Delivery if you want to search for it on your tv.

Yeah I just that commercial as well. I was wondering if they would be showing anything for the latest baby (Josie) but I understood if they didnt considering everything surrounding the birth.

I saw that commercial tonight too. It must've been a huge shock on them to have a preemie- it is for everybody, of course, but they have been blessed with 18 healthy pregnancies and kids and then to suddenly get pre-e and gave a 28 weeker.....
