Trying to soup up my Swiffer Wet Jet

Love the SWJ ever since I got rid of the nasty cleaning fluid it came with and filled the bottle w/my own solution (water/vinegar/tea tree oil), but now I'd like to ditch those refills (which remind me of the pads they put under a cut of meat at the supermarket) and use something a little nap/bristle to it, sort of like a cross between a brush and a towel, in order to get into the grooves between my floorboard. Those wide floor brooms are too stiff and terry cloth is too soft. Does anyone kwim, what to google, where to buy?

this probably doesn't help. but for others that might be looking for something....i used an old prefold which picks up way more than the pads did and i just keep an old green scrub pad under my foot for scrubbing the spots. and i use a bottle of vinagar water in a spray bottle.

super cool! wow, you learn something new everyday!

btw, i use microfiber cloths for my swiffer and sewed green scrubby to the front part.
hmm... thats hard to write out, when you have the swiffer down on the floor the scrubbies are underneath at the front part.
i also have plain microfiber cloths for when i dont need to scrub.
remember to sew velcro on the backs of them so they stick well because they dont glide as easy as the disposible pads. it took me a week of fighting with the thing before i figured out the velcro trick.

Wahooo! Thanks!

I knew a woman who crocheted covers for her swiffer and just put them in the wash after each use.

I get double duty out of my swiffer by taking off the "meat tray paper," as an above poster so colorfully described, and putting in on again the opposite way.

Wet Jet

Wow what great ideas for ways to spiff up the Wet Jet! I dispise the disposable pads and the smell of the fluid, but love the "swivel action"! I have also discovered that the Shark (the original not the pocket) cloth pads fit nicely on to the Wet Jet! The Velcro strips line up just right and now no more disposable pads!
Now I'm going to try getting my own viniger cleaning solution into the bottle...
