OPK's for birth control?

I am exclusively breastfeeding my 8 week old who co-sleeps and feeds every 2-3 hrs, day & night.
If I take an OPK daily and never get a surge, is that a good B/C method? They always worked for me when I was TTC.

DDC crashing...OPKS should never be used as birth control.

They tell you 24-48 hours before and egg is released. If you have sex 5 days before the egg is released, you can get pregnant.

Using you BBT to check for ovulation and being aware of your cervical mucous and cervical position would be much more reliable.

Your temps might be all over the place because of not getting enough sleep, but your cervical mucus and cervical position should tell you whether or not you are fertile.
