what to use for crayon molds?

It's time to recycle the nubby crayons into new art supplies! The last time I did this I used an old muffin pan and dc refuse to color w/ them. I'd like something more in the shape of crayon. I know I can go to hobby store and get candy or candle molds, but I was hoping to repurpose something I had around the house or could get on the cheap at a thrift store. Anyone care to brainstorm w/ me?

I used a bread pan and then cut them.

If you watch at thrift shops sometimes you can find a crayola crayon maker - I found one recently for $3.

Makes them in exact crayon shapes, and the machine does all the heating, etc for you as well.

I found a silicone star shaped mold at Salvation Army. It worked really well and was easy to pop them out.

I used a silicone ice cube tray in heart shape from Target's dollar spot. Worked wonderfully and the kids love them.
