About two weeks, is the usual incubation period. 14-16 days. SO FAR, not too bad. A little itchy, a little crabby.
I would think, before it gets too hot, where there is minimal sweating, and long sleeves and pants aren't problematic.
For those who are debating whether to expose deliberately, this is a virus with minimal impact on children (usually, but do your own research) but is far worse in adults, both in severity AND in greater negative impact (greater fatalities, etc)
I know that if my kids didn't catch it by the time they were 12, I was going to vaccinate. (the younger hasn't demonstrated any pox yet)That's from my own research and conclusions, YMMV.
And it's about freaking impossible in this day and age to accidentally catch it. Especially 'wild' pox. Since the only ones trying to get it usually are more likely to not be out and about when most contagious, and the others will be the dna modified shed vaccine pox.
Anyway, we are open to visitation at the moment, but if he starts to feel to crappy... I will close the invites down.
