Birth pool in BoBB?

I just (finally!) watched Business of Being Born and I'm wondering if anyone knows what type of birth pool was shown in the various water births in the movie? It was a light blue and looked almost like some kind of foam, as opposed to inflatable? None of the sites I've found that sell the usual pools have anything like it that I can see, but I'd kind of prefer a non-inflatable pool so if anyone knows what it is or where to get something similar, that'd be awesome!

I can't remember for sure but I think it might be the Aqua Doula http://www.aquadoula.com/

Thank you, that does look like it! A little out of my price range, unfortunately, but good to know.

Yeah, looks like it would be something for a midwife to purchase and offer to let her clients borrow. Way too much for me!

It is the AquaDoula. Many MWs offer a rental of that kind (or several types) of tubs. FWIW, I didn't like the AD which is what I used for DDs birth. The heating element was too much for me and I wasn't quite able to vocalize that I wanted the heater off (didn't know you could do that) and neither was I able to ask for DH or MW to sponge my face with cool water.

I toyed with buying a birth pool in a box which retails for $150 since that's about the price of a rental and I figured we'd have another baby.

We didn't buy it, we are having another baby, and we are renting the BPIOB for $150 I should just buy the damn thing this time.

This time DH has been explicitly instructed to have a bowl of cool water and washcloths available.

Something like an Aquadoula is intended to be rented rather than purchased. Often midwives rent them out to their clients.

Definitely ask your MW where you can rent one. Here in NYC there is one local guy who has them and rents them out, which is a lot cheaper than doing it my mail. But mailorder rental is also an option.
