another wool-ease question...

i swear i searched this forum for the answer first

i just knitted super easy baby blanket, but used wool-ease b/c i could make it for under $25, and wanted it to be easy to care for (gift for a new mom).

i don't need to block it for shape, but before i give it as a gift, do i need to set the colors, like with a vinegar wash? since it's machine washable, does that mean the colors won't run? it does have dark and light colors in bands. the lion brand site doesn't mention whether the colors may/may not run.

in my experience, woolease has never run (and I've done black and with white, red with the light grey) so I don't think you need to do anything special to it.

wool ease shedding

I have just made an afthan using wool ease chunky/quick yarn. It sheds so terribly I have to vacuum everyday just to pick up the junk off the floor not to mention my night clothes, wash etc. I have tried a cool dryer several times hoping that would take off the excess 'chaf' but to no avail. I have emailed Lion yarns and they want the label of the yarn but I don't have them anymore. I bought 12 skeins of this terrible stuff and wish I had save at lease one band but noooooooooooo... can anyone offer any suggestions. I thought of washing it but I'm afraid it might be too large for my washer.
