What sort of foods to serve w/ coffee?

I'm having a small party/gathering at my house on Sunday and it's been themed "Shopping Coffee" (for a make up party), therefore, coffee will need to be served - no biggie - can handle that part - but just am wondering what sort of apps/finger foods I can serve that will go w/ coffee. Cookies, cakes, breads, etc., But is there anything else that I can pick up or make?

I would do some cookies or cake, and a plate of fruit, maybe with yogurt dip or honey maple dip, or just plain!

Personally I'd go with something with protein in it as well... quiche comes to mind, or fritatta. They both can be made ahead of time, and are completely customizable to your tastes. Serving only foods full of wheat and sugar is never a good idea IMO.

Yes, something with protein - quiche is my suggestion too. Or perhaps some smoked salmon or trout and cream cheese on crackers or biscuits.

Bagels with creamed cheese and smoked salmon?

I'd do cookies or cake, breads(sweet and non-sweet like crescents) with butter and jams, plus something protein like quiche or mini quiches.

And Halvah (if you can find it) or nice chocolates...they go unbelievably excellent with coffee.
