So is this a normal amount of bloody show to have prior to labor?

I am posting this in B&B because most women in this section have already experienced their bloody show and I want your input.

My first appearance of mucus plug was last Thursday. Just a little, but enough to see that it was definitley my plug...yellowish stringy goop.
Next one, Saturday - twice that day. Again mucus but this time with brown tinge. Now every day since, I'm having the brown AND bright red mucus. Not together though. I thought I was in labor for sure on Sunday nite into the wee hours of the morning, then it stalled. Went to the bathroom, had lots of brite red mucus. Also the brown stuff just seems to show up whenever, whereas the brite red shows up when I'm having painful contractions.
I go to see my MW tomorrow afternoon but I wanted some perspective here as well. By the way, the babe is moving lots, very active indeed. Some days more quiet than others but for the most part, she is pretty happy.

I would say the brown was from old blood, maybe sex or early effacment and dilation. The brighter red would make me think that when you have ctx they are effective in that early dilation. I would say any day now!

Sounds like you're getting close! I had mucusy red bleeding, enough I needed to wear a pad/liner, for two full days before I went into proper labor. The MW who first came to see me when I was actually in labor said it was normal.
