I don't know if I'm allowed to post the site, if I am not, PLEASE forgive me mods. Barnes & Nobles has the free courses they offer through their B&N University. This fall they will be offering a Homeschooling Your Children course offered by Linda Dobson. Linda has written a lot of books on the subject of homeschooling and she will be at our State's conference this year (yippy skippy!!!). Thought someone eould be interested.

My 4 1/2 year old loves starfall.com, but he is starting to get a little bored by it. Can anyone recommend a similar educational site for preschoolers to play?

TIA, max

Homeschool radio shows

Free to download, a new one each week. Usually they have links to other resources about the show too.

We are enjoying www.brainpop.com. It isn't completely free - as in, there are choices for 'FREE' items and then there are others that come with a membership.

The homeschooling membership is unlimited, but is pretty high at an annual fee of $79.00. We use this SOOO MUCH though that I'm saving pennies to spring for it.

If you use the free videos, you can only use one a day without being a member, but they go all the way up to age 18 in 'level' and are good for my Emelie, who is 7 in areas like science, grammar, etc...

This link is great for printing out calendar pages. There is a small section above each month to draw a little picture. Last year DD made a really nice "My Family" picture glued on a large sheet of construction paper (then laminated) for the background of the calendar, then we'll staple on the calendar pages to it. Each year we will re-use the background and just staple a new calendar to it.
