So I was always told that dogs don't watch the tv, they can't see the images we see. But my dog does watch the t.v.!
I have two cocker spaniels, DH and I knew from the first cocker that if there was a dog on t.v. we needed to mute it, because as soon as it whimpered or barked Oliver would go crazy and run around the house barking and looking for the dog. So we already had this habbit when we got our second cocker. So a dog comes on t.v. and we mute it, and she'll look at the t.v. and bark at the dog. She also barks at other 4-legged animals, cats, elephants, cows etc. And she barks at Will Smith. No other actor or actress, just him, every time he's on the t.v.
Any one else have experience with this? It can be quite frustrating, because everytime Daphne barks Oliver will bark and there are a lot of animals on t.v.! Dh and I used to watch a lot of animal planet/discovery channel but now it's like, just forget it!
...as I typed the last paragraph a dog came on the t.v. and now Daphne is barking at it...
