Cloth Diapering on Vacation/ With No Diaper Sprayer

We are going on vacation in two weeks to spend Christmas with my boyfriend's family. We're flying and I don't want to bring our whole diaper sprayer system with us. Any suggestions for dealing with messy diapers? My daughter is ten months, nursing, and still only dabbling with solids, so you can imagine what kind of messy dipes we're dealing with. Any vacation experience or anyone who cloth diapers at home without a sprayer with good ideas? Thanks!

you could use fleece liners. just cut up a bunch of thin fleece to lay in the diaper. poop comes off fleece pretty easily w/ the old dunk & swish.

you could also use flushable liners which would be even easier. you just lift out the poo & dump the whole thing in the toilet & flush. though in my experience they tend to stick to the tush, so the whole removing the poop covered liner from baby's tush can be kind of gross.

here is a link to the flushable liners

When we had bf poo I just put the whole messy dipe in the washer and let the extra rinse cycle take care of it.

Liners aren't a bad idea either, though I've never used them.

The liners work great. We've used both fleece and flushable and they both really help. Totally worth it. In fact, I don't own a diaper sprayer. I've never needed it.

I've always used liners. My liners are old clothes -- beyond any resale value except for textile recycling -- cut up into suitable size pieces. I wash if only wet & into trash if yicky.

We use liners. But we also use a small bathroom at my folks-in-law. The toilet is right next to the tub. I installed a handheld showerhead a few years ago (couldn't get my hair clean with the contractor's special that came with the place). So my husband just uses that to spray out the surprise-poop dipes. He does the same thing at our house, actually.

I would echo the suggestions above. Either use disposable liners or bring your sprayer with you. They are not at all hard to install although maybe your boyfriend's family won't be too hot on the idea of you playing with their plumbing.

We are huge fans of the Imse Vimse liners. So simple.

Have a great trip.

Thanks everyone! I think we'll go with liners. I used some in the first few days of cding so we've got some handy! Toyed with the idea of taking the sprayer but it already feels like we're packing up 3/4 of the house to go

Just dunk and swish in the toilet. I've never used a diaper sprayer and only use liners when using rash cream.

We've used a peri bottle to "spray" off diapers in a pinch.

Hope it helps.
Enjoy your holiday

Just dunk'm in the toilet. Seroiusly. Our diaper sprayer broke nearly a year ago (maybe more), and we've been fine w/o it since. Just dunk'm in the toilet, scrub a little, dunk again and throw'm in your wetbag or bucket or whatever.

I've never used a sprayer & until ds was eating a lot more solids I didn't even rinse in the toilet - just right into the washer. But rinsing in the toilet is super easy.
