Question for those that use stories to teach: syllables

I'm looking for stories that go beyond the introduction to the alphabet kinds of stories in Waldorf. I want stories that create a word picture for syllables. ... All About Spelling gives an example of using

_________ is like _____________. to create picture.

The example there is:

A vowel team is like a team of horses.

They recommend doing this with each of the six types of syllables:

Other folks come at it by looking at suffixes and prefixes.

So...can anyone point me to "advanced" alphabet stories...that reinforce syllable awareness/prefixes - suffixes?

'cause otherwise this stuff is dreadfully dull.

I'd love to gather some stories online, because I'd like to have them in my hands.

Thanks!
