Need help from crafty people on how to turn boy's boots into girl's

I want to use my DS's boots on my DD; they are plain navy so they're pretty gender neutral, but I was thinking I could put some sort of girly decoration on them.

They are the waterproof vinyl "moonboot" kind (from WalMart, I think). Any ideas? I'm not very crafty so I don't know what wouldn't fall off if it got wet.
