Looking for Maternity Gardening Pants

with big cargo pockets. I already can't wear my gardening pants (at only 5 weeks no less!) and will need some since I'm putting in my neighbors garden again and maintaining their gardens for as long as my pregnant body will let me.

Let me know if you have seen anything that would work (preferably in a dark color). Thanks!

Way oversized coveralls? Or just stick a stretchy panel in some coveralls or something?

Or I can totally see you going all 1800's on us and getting a few groovy dresses that are built to last and adjustable and such.

Oh yeah, coveralls. Nice!

Haha! You know, I made an apron like that a few years ago. I could wear that, it does have pockets. I'd need to make a dress to go with it. Hehe!

Link still works for me...

Try this one. Kinda 1880's farmwife style. Which I kinda groove on, I'm weird like that. Especially if made with nice sturdy fabric.

Hey, what zone are you in again? And were you completely bypassing me up yonder and sticking to the other freeway? I'm plotting how to dig up some things from the yard to take with me if the ground isn't frozen solid - even have some big ole pots from a local tree nursery to take care of some of that.

Zone 9. I ain't going anywhere until our honeymoon, which I don't know when that will be. Hahahaha! Since wedding is during planting season we won't be going anywhere until there is a little bit of a lull.

My computer still won't let me go to that site. Bummer. Will try it on Dave's computer.

Here is the skirt I made. I will make another, but opposite colors. So comfy and I found organic material and it didn't cost an arm and a leg.

I guess I should post the link to the pattern.

It was so easy, but the pattern comes out a little wonky because it was done in like paint or something, but you just need to trim it so it works.

How about a construction belt? They are totally adjustable, and you can wear them either under or over your baby bump!

I just bought some about three weeks ago at Pea in the Pod. They are dark green and have more pockets than I know what to do with. They wern't cheep (maybe $50) but then agian, I only have a few maternity clothes so they are getting a lot of use. They are a sort of parachute material and wash well. They still have a few sizes/colors on line.

Those are cute! I just don't think I could have something over my belly like that. It needs to breathe.
They are the "three way belly" so you can wear them all the way up, folded over, or all the way down. I know what you mean about belly breathing, esp. when it's hot! I just sort of scrunch the belly band around my hips, rather than pull it all the way up (if that makes any sense.)

Oh, ok, kind of like my maternity yoga pants. I may have to save up for those. Thanks for posting about them.
