milk and eggs ?

I know to wait on milk and egg whites until 1 year, but does this even mean when they are in things like homemade bread or waffles?

An egg is an egg and milk is milk, no matter what form it comes in ... waffles, breads, etc. If you are waiting to introduce a food, you have to keep it out of the ingredient list completely.

It is my understanding that you don't really have to wait on anything (Except chocking hazards like nuts,etc...) unless you have allergies in your family. (yourself, DH, babies siblings) I think that waiting on milk is more drinking milk since that would replace breast milk or formula which is better nutritionally for the babe. Milk or eggs in foods is fine past 6 months. Of course, as with anything, you would stop if your lo didn't do well with that food. DD had eggs last night, we give her mac and cheese, yogurt, and so on. Really, once they are eating and feeding themselves well there is very little they can't have if prepared appropriately.
