I used a Boppy w/ DD, and we both loved it. I know some people have mixed experiences, but I have a short torso, so I think it just fit my body-type really well.

However, I've been reading online () about more eco/baby friendly pillows. DD spent a LOT of time on her Boppy, and if it's actually off-gassing unpleasant things (from the Poly foam) then I'd like to avoid that w/ the next baby.

The Blessed Nest pillow has the buckwheat hull filling. Is that washable??? Ican't imagine a non-washable nursing pillow!

Right now, I'm contemplating buying a used Boppy at consignment, pulling out the poly stuffing, washing the covers really well, and refilling them with something nicer-- organic cotton or down/feathers.

Any thoughts or other recommendations? Is this not really a big deal?
