Teaching baby not to bite

Thread Starter
DD now has 2 teeth and still tries to bite/gum on my fingers, chin, breasts, cheek... anything that is skin and she can get into her mouth; much like she did as the teeth were coming in, except now it hurts!
How do you teach an infant that biting hurts?

My daugther (15 mos now) is a biter too. I found with biting and nursing, www.kellymom.com had good suggestions. If she was getting a new tooth, I would ice her gums first which helped. She also likes to pinch me. When she does something that hurts me, I try not to over-react. I set her down or unlatch her and tell her that hurts mama. We then try again or I pick her up again. I also use "hurt" when she falls or pinches her finger, etc. She will still pinch me and bite me on occasion but she understands when I say that hurts mama.
