ds is 10.5 months. he is a fast crawler and gets around very well. some times he likes to explore, and sometimes he likes to stick nearby.
Yesterday DH and I were playing a board game on the floor and DS was hanging around, pulling up on the couch, climbing into our laps, generally staying near when a neighbor who was over made a comment like
"geez, don't you let that kid crawl around and explore? he should be getting into everything by now!"
I thought it was fairly obvious that we weren't restraining him in any way..
do your kids do this? just sort of hang out near you??

If I'm stationary, she's on top of me. Apparently, climbing on my legs when they're propped up is far more entertaining than the mountains of toys.
