My DD has a Christmas Party at school and the parents are being asked to bring a snack to share with everyone. Any ideas on any fun, yummy finger-foods that are halfway healthy?

Deviled eggs
fruit plate with yogurt dip
cheese and meat platter with the cheese cut out in stars etc with cookie cutters.

(You could also do little cut out sandwiches)

Hummus, veggies and pita cut out with cookie cutters

(I seem to be on a cookie cutter theme today! )

Reindeer food:

popcorn
granola
christmas sprinkles
dried fruit

small slices of cold pizza, I usually go with a plain cheese and tomato.

"swirl" sandwiches. Take a slice of bread and spread with filling of your choice then roll up and slice into rounds. We use cheese spread on brown bread or Marmite on white.

if you can do peanut butter how about 'ants/frogs on a log' that's always fun. Hummus is usually liked by kids and also roll up sandwiches.

a cheese'ball' Christmas tree...

make your favourite cheese ball recipe and roll into small bite size ball, stack in a pyramid shape, roll most of the outer ones in parsley, or for a less 'flaky' texture, add green onion and fresh parsley to cheese ball mixture before forming balls...

your cheese ball should resemble a green Christmas tree, roll some mini-mini-cheese balls in paprika and use as ornaments, place star-shaped cracker on top of tree and serve with crackers around base! very festive looking!!!

oh, another one I just remembered is you buy the green tortillias and spread with red-pepper cream cheese and diced green pepper, roll up and refrigerate over night, in the morning slice into pinwheels that will look like festive wreaths!!!
