I guess they're all different

#4 - 21 months old and is still nursing. We went away for 5 days, returned and she didn't skip a beat, nor did my milk dry up.
My first 3 stopped by themselves at 1 yr. This one, has her own room, eats and drinks like everyone else, but loves her nummies.
I guess I do, too.

I think you're right. I have nursed three different individuals and they are all different. Of course, the birth order, timing in my life, stresses and all that can play into it too. I am anxious for dd2 to wean but I think part of that is because dd3 is also nursing. With dd1, we went to 4y2m including a year of tandeming. I don't know how long I will be able to go with #3, but I know that if I get pregnant again, she will have to wean, I can't go through that again...

I have had people tell me that if I just left dd2 for a weekend or some amount of time, that she would wean, but I doubt it. I think she would want to nurse when she saw me after whatever time it was.

Just my thoughts
