Sorry, this is so early--Lenten devotion question

Sorry that this is way early ladies, but I like to have things planned out in advance.

I was wondering if any of you knew of any good Lenten devotionals or family activities.

I was reading about a Lenten tradition like the Advent wreath but in reverse, where you have 7 candles (5 purple for repentance, 1 red for Holy Week, 1 white for Christ). On the first Sunday, you light all the candles, and extinguish one each week. On Good Friday, you extinguish the Christ candle. I really love that idea, and we will be doing that for sure. I think we will be making our candles on Candlemas (Feb. 2) to use in our wooden holder that happens to hold 7 candles (yay!).

For Advent, we've been using a small devotional that is geared for families with young children. Each day has a Bible passage, a short story, a song, and a prayer. I'm looking for something similar for Lent. I found this that looks promising: http://www.christianbook.com/Christi...62799&event=CF . I know there are some great "adult" type devotionals for Lent out there, but not so much geared for young children or for use in a family setting. Does anyone have any suggestions? I really want one that Bible-centered and Christ-centered (we are Lutheran).

Thanks!

Last year we did a Lenten Calendar and this year we'll be adding the Jesus Tree as well.

I'm on my way to bed, but could explain the calendar a bit more tomorrow. I don't think the picture is quite clear enough to get it all.
