Buying breastmilk for supplementing

I will soon have to return to work & my baby is 7 weeks. I am interested in buying bm to use a supplement until I get a store of bm to use. I will be gone for two days at a time and I am worried that the sudden change in her diet (if I use formula) will cause her problems. Anyone know if it is possible for me to obtain bm from a milkbank ect? I want to know that the milk has been tested d/t the potential for illnesses to be passed through the bm (like hiv).
TIA.

Are you pumping now to build up a stash? I'm a little confused as to why you would have to buy something you already make.

I don't know much about milk banks, but I'm sure some of them will sell to you. I just use milkshare to donate my milk directly, I really don't see much of a chance that someone would donate with even the slightest chance they might have HIV, since that would mean they are also exposing their own infant to HIV daily.

Milk Banks are strictly for medically critical infants who need breast milk. I would check out milkshare.

I've donated through Milkshare. Some of the donating mamas on Milkshare have testing that they got done during pregnancy (for things like HIV) and will show you the results. That may ease your mind.

But can you pump? That seems like the simplest solution.

If you start pumping now, you'd be able to get a few bottles together by the time you go back to work. Once at work, the pumpings instead of feedings should give you enough to replace the previously pumped bottles.

I don't really make any extra milk that dd and ds don't drink. Plus we are fighting a yeast infection (dd has thrush and I suspect ds does too, and I have it in my breasts) and I've been told not to pump because the milk will be contaminated with yeast.
I'm hoping to have it gone by the time I go back to work in two weeks
When I leave, I will be gone for two whole days, and will not be able to return home to nurse dd, as I will be out of town.

Maybe ... just maybe, I can get someone to meet me halfway and pick up the milk I've pumped for the day... it's a thought. That way she would only have to get a few bottles of formula.

Check out milkshare like a PP suggested. I completely understanding your want to keep your baby exclusively breastfed! I hope you find the milk you need.

Ditto Milkshare.

And not all milkbanks are strictly for infants with issues. But most are very expensive. :/
