Healthy Food Gift Ideas?

Every Christmas I make some sort of food gift for family, cookies or candy or something. Nothing healthy This year my sister will be with us from out of town, and she had gastric bypass surgery a year ago and cannot tolerate any sugar. I'd like to make something special for her but I don't know what! Any ideas? TIA

How about jarred soup mixes? Kind of like the cookie mixes in a jar. You layer all the ingredients for soup in a canning jar with the label saying what it needs (how much water or meat to add) and how long to cook it. They look pretty and are very convenient after a busy day.

What about a nice loaf of bread with a non sugary spread?maybe a nut butter?

Ditto on a loaf of home-baked bread.

Homemade spice mixes are nice too - you could do a bag of basmati rice with some homemade garam masala (if that'd be liked).

You could also mix up some custom tea blends with herbs, or herbs and green or black tea of flavors she likes.

Or what about homemade tomato sauce or pesto?

Bread may be out- my sister's mil had gastric and she could only eat about a 1/2 slice of bread at a time.
I'd second the soup in a jar, and the tea basket idea!

I'm doing spice mixes in jars: taco seasoning, italian seasoning, sundried tomato/mushroom seasoning, etc.

i love the soup in a jar idea and might just have to steal that one too!

I'm doing viniagrettes this year. Pomegranete, and a sun dried tomato one.

I bought the bottles at the dollar store, and the supplies at costco, so I'm set and the cost was minimal!

How about fruit salad and vegetable salad? I love them especially with loaf bread. And I find them very healthy.
