How to package homemade candy gifts?

I'm making peppermint bark to give as gifts - some will be shipped in the mail, some will just be delivered by hand locally. I am planning to buy pretty tins to pack it in. What should I use to layer? Wax paper? Any other tips or suggestions are welcome too! Thanks so much!

For delivered by hand I would just line the tin with wax paper, and maybe a layer over the top under the lid. For shipping, I would probably seal the candy in a ziploc type baggie inside the tin. I think that would keep it fresh longer, just in case shipping didn't go as quickly as planned.
