foremilk/hindmilk imbalance?

How do you figure out if you have a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance? My 3 week old daughter has has green, watery, mucousy poop since halfway through week one and I have read that an imbalance can be the cause. Are there other ways to determine if this is the issue? And what do I do about it?

have you tried block feeding?

I would just be sure that she's emptied one breast completely before putting her to the other. You could also manually express the 'tail end' of the milk, as she's nursing, when you feel that it's close to empty.

I've never heard of an imbalance before... You could also try pumping one breast empty. There is a marked difference between the two kinds of milk...one looks watery like skim and one looks like buttermilk!!

Personally, I'd only worry if my little one wasn't gaining weight. Everyone's body is different and chances are very good that you will make just what she needs.
