Giving everyone their space...

We live in a 4-bedroom house. Right now the twins still sleep in my room (and DD usually does too). DD has her own room and most of her big toys are in there. DS1 has his own room with a hook-lock on the door to keep the little ones out. The extra room is slated to be the twin's room eventually, but right now it is a spare bedroom with a full bed and rocking chair in it - not much extra room. When we are upstairs, the best place for the twins to play is DD's room, which is fine except she is older and starting to get interested in toys that they would break or wouldn't be safe for them. She doesn't keep things picked up very well (shocking, right? since she is 2.5). Some of her Christmas presents may not be great for the boys to play with - safety or durability wise.

They need a place to play upstairs, and she needs to be able to have age-appropriate toys. How do I give everyone the space they need?

Even if your twins don't sleep there, I think it's probably time to set up their own room from the guest bedroom.

I agree. That's probably the best solution.

I'd also set up the guest room as a kids bedroom, though if it's the smallest of the "kids" rooms, I'd probably move one of the others in there since the twins will have two people in the room vs. just one.
