Bf friendly nurse uniforms?

I recently volunteered at a hospital in my area as a breastfeeding peer counselor (hurray!) and really enjoyed the experience. The only downside was that we are required to wearing nurses smocks while we are on the postpartum floor. I can get over the gaudiness, the bright cartoonishness and the attractive elastic wristbands, but guess what infant feeding apparatus was all over the shirts? No, not breasts...

So. Have any of you ever come across nurses uniforms that are clearly baby related but also bottle-free? Of course I'm super picky and not really a fan of Disney ones either... My supervisor was apologetic and a little embarrassed but said they had to have something baby on them and this was all they could find. This is not a program with tons of funding and they were probably donated, so don't hate on them.

So you're saying that the shirts you wear have to have "baby related" prints on them? That's certainly different for me, I've never heard of such a thing! Would you be allowed to embroider a tasteful something on a plain shirt? Or does it need to be an all-over print?

personally, I would just wear a solid colored set of scrubs (they are cheap at places like Big Lots and Walmart). Maybe you could get a cute badge, button, etc. something with a nice saying or breastfeeding symbol of sorts.

If you sew, Simplicity has an easy pattern, and you can buy your own fabric. I do a lot of my scrub shopping online (I know my sizes in Cherokee and Landau). I have had ones with baby footprints, babies with stethoscopes and nurses hats, and some stork ones, you just have to spend some time searching.

I would get a big pin or button that looked suspiciously like a boob I saw this one a while back. It's one of those that people will say "what IS that" and lean in to get a closer look
