Did sleeping on lambskin/lambswool help LO to sleep/nap inependently/longer?

I'm thinking about getting a lambswool blanket for DD (4.5 mos) for Xmas. I saw a post on another thread about these "snugglewool" blankets that are like lambskin (but lamb gets to live to frolick another day)
http://www.greenmountaindiapers.com/snugglewool.htm

Anyway, my thought/hope is that this as a sleeping surface might help her stay asleep or even (gasp!) nap once in ahwile not attached to me. Have others had this experience? I know I sleep incredibly well on wool mattresses at DH family home in Italy (or maybe its just the jetlag).

Would love to find a solution that keeps DD happy, sleeping/napping well but would also love to be able to get some things done while she naps periodically & spend a little time with DH on weekends without DD attached. What do you think? Too much to ask of a blanket?

I'm not sure. I'm sure it's worth the try. Why not just wrap the baby up to you? At 4.5mos, you wouldn't even know LO was there. I did that with my last 2 babies and now they each sleep really well. And in their own beds!

Tav mom- thanks for the reply. When you say wrap the baby up to you, are you talking about co-sleeping? We do co-sleep at night and this works great. She just doesn't sleep well during the day in the bed, swing etc. so I wear her in the ergo carrier for all her naps. This is working for us so I can just continue since I get good naps this way but it really limits what I can do during the day because 4-6 hours are spent tiptoeing around the house with the baby. (though it does give me more time to go to MDC!) Anyway, just thought this might be a solution to be able to get some cooking done during one of her naps and maybe spend a couple hours with my husband on weekends.
It seemed that the cuddly softness might make a difference- but again as I said above I recognize I'm asking alot of a blanket!! LOL
