There doesn't seem to be anything conclusive here - lmao!!!

I charted. My first was 7 days after EDD, and my second was 12 days (but I didn't labor...just gave up ).

With 1st baby I was not charting, but had 35 day long cycles, so he was born right about 38w from ovulation, 41w1d after LMP

2nd baby was born exactly 39w after ovulation, 41w5d from LMP. With my midwife we used O date for due date, and though I went over that I didn't go very far over so it made waiting easier.

With my 1st child, I had no idea what charting even was. I had very irregular cycles too, so we went with the good 'ole fashioned 28 day cycle EDD. Needless to say I ended up being induced because I was supposedly one week "overdue". Looking back, I have no idea how far along I really was.

Child #2, we were TTC full force. I was charting, and knew I O'd on CD18. My EDD was April 24th... and not only did I go into labor that day, but she was born that day too! I was shocked!

So for me... VERY accurate.

I was charting when I conceived baby #2 - did not get my period back between kids, so my LMP was 2+ years previous and irrelevant. I pinned my EDD at June 12 from my ovulation date (ie June 12 was 38 weeks from Sept 19, which is my O date). My MW suggested that we could do a dating ultrasound and possibly "buy me an extra day or two at the back end" - that we would just make whichever date was later the "official" EDD. (I was a VBAC so that sounded good to me). Anyway, dating U/S put the EDD at June 11.

I went into labor on June 20 and had my baby girl on June 21 at 3:26 AM.

charted with the 2nd not the first and both were due date babies.

This is a very interesting thread. Glad to see that even with the knowledge of O or conception dates babies still choose their own bdays. Very reassuring to me since I know neither my O or C dates. Add to that breastfeeding with irregular cycles and things really get interesting.

I charted with both. My first came 36w1d after ovulation and my second came 36w5 days after ovulation.
