Disposable suggestion

We are going on a 3 night vacation to Disney next weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and leaving when the park closes on Monday to drive home). We are staying at a Disney resort and will not have access to a washing machine. I am considering buying one pack of disposables, which I will use during the day until they run out (and our BGs at night). Then I will use BGs the rest of the time, which will basically give me a full pail of dirty dipes by the time we head home. We have about 30 BGs.

(I feel really guilty about this, but dang . . . it's going to make things so much easier. Which makes me feel even more guilty, since I'm doing it for convenience.)

Still with me so far?

Anyway, I am looking at diapers.com for disposables, and see three choices: 7th Generation, Nature babycare, Earth's Best, and Tushies Tender Care. All are 4/5 stars except for Tushies, which is 3/5.

Any suggestions?

Do you have access to Moltex Oko? I think they are the most environmental disposable that I have come across (though it was a while ago that I did my research and I can't remember exactly why they came out on top for me).

Have you considered gDiapers? They work perfectly for a situation like this. If you're like me and you don't like their covers or just don't want to buy them, you can use a M/L flushable insert in a regular snug-fitting PUL cover. I find that this works really well. Bring an extra cover or two in case a little poop gets on one and you need to hand wash it. You don't have to flush the insert, just chuck it - it's still much better than a disposable (even the "eco" ones).

Try the Gro Baby. It is a cloth cover with a disposable insert. It comes with reusable, washable inserts but the biodegradable ones are terrific for situations just like yours. It might be a good compromise.

For any other diapers you bring along, might be worth it to bring some liners as well. The Imse Vimse disposable liners will make clean up and laundry much easier on the road.

Have a great trip. We took our kids to Disney when they were four and they had a blast. I was actually stunned at how much fun they had.

We do use the Imse Vimse liners already, and I love them!

Could I use a gDiaper insert with my BG pockets - like put the insert in the diaper instead of in the pocket? That would be awesome!

Nature Babycare makes really neat disposibles that are compostable and biodegradable and chlorine free. I would try those ones, my doula sells them in her shop.

Have a great trip!!!

Don't feel guilty about making your short vacation easier! I've only used 7th Generation (out of your choices), and really liked them. I had terrible blow-outs with G-diapers.
