My three year old female cat, Angel, really let loose on my bed in the attic today, a giant puddle. She had been begging me for food down in the kitchen, and I had ignored her (she's already been fed). But just in case she was begging me to go down to her litter pan in the basement, I checked that the cat door was open and swung it open and closed so she could see it.
We've adopted her six months ago, and she has been perfectly trained to the pan. Her one quirk is a severe obsession with food -- jumps on the table, follows us begging, etc. But she is a sweetie.
My sense is that she was pissed that I did not give her more kibble, and she went to the spot that smells of me and pissed! I found her in the room right after, and I picked her up and brought her to the wet spot and said "Don't do this!" loudly, but I am not sure she can understand what I meant.
Anyway, why would she do this?? I've never had an animal do this ... except when my dogs are sick they like to vomit on my daughters bed (feels safe there I think)!
Any thoughts??
Peeing on someone's bed is a statement, right? Barring any illness, etc. Her health is excellent.
