periods

i had my first pp period 2 weeks ago. Since then DD has started breastfeeding like crazy. Will I keep getting my period no matter how much she nurses or will the increased feedings make me stop ovulating? I realize this is an incredibly stupid question, but it' driving me crazy.

It really could go either way. Not everyone is the same. You could consider charting--that way you would at least have a better idea what you're body is doing. I suggest the fertility forum.

It's possible to go back to no periods. My sister gets her period back early after each child, but with her latest babe she was pumping for another baby too and that stopped her period after it had already been regular for a few months. It stayed away til she stopped pumping.

Of course, everyone is different, but it is possible.

Yep, could go either way. W/ds1 got first PPAF at 21 moths while we had a cold and he was nursing less. When he felt better he resumed nursing as usual and I did not get AF for the next 3 months, however I must have ovulated bc I got pg w/ds2 when ds1 was 24 months.

W/ds2 I got first PPAF when he was also 21 months and it continued until I got pg again when he was 23 months.

Likely not. I started my PP AF at 21 months and still get it though lately it's been more frequent vs every 6-8 weeks.

I've kept my period the whole time. I got it back at 7 months pp and my dd is now 17 months. It's pretty regular, flucuating by just a few days no matter how much she nurses. She still nurses very frequently, day and night.
