How do I use Bac-out?

We use all sized Fuzzi Bunz pockets which I love. They've retained a bit of odor (not the dreaded stinkies nor an ammonia smell) they just don't smell super great. I use a shared laundry in an apartment so they only get washed every three days.

I do a hot wash with Charlie's Soap, followed by a hot wash without soap. No ability to do a rinse alone. I now add white vinegar to the second wash.

How do I use bac-out and how much for a long of 12-18 dipes? Do I use it when they are already clean?

Bac Out

Charlies Soap is great for regular washing, but you need to strip once and a while because there is build up. You can use Bac Out- simply a few cap fulls. If you want to use something more effective for everyday use, just use the BioKleen Laundry powder- it has enzymes in it. These enzymes (like bac out) are plant-based and are not as strong as the chemical ones. Just make sure you rinse the diapers out really well to avoid any rash.

I use bac-out the same way I would a 'pre-soak' and I just do maybe one capful of it (a very short squirt). I use it before Charlie's soap and then occasionally when I'm done with my entire wash routine I'll throw in a capful of vinegar and do an additional rinse. I haven't had problems with buildup over the past 10 months...

I'm also using an HE washer and I try to wash and rinse a lot to make sure I got everything out since I know HE washers use so much less water

I just spray bac out on all poopy diapers after we rinse them in the toilet, then wash as normal (I formerly used allens naturally for a couple years, suddenly had major build-up issues, switched to Ecos free & clear for a couple months, and am now on planet detergent, which so far seems to have (miraculously) cleared up the build-up/repelling issues...)
