CD mamas: which diaper pail & wet bag do you like?

Hi there,
I'm new to CD-ing with a 4 week old daughter. We're using prefolds with Thirsties covers. We live in a pretty small apartment, so I'm looking for a diaper pail (with laundry bag) that id relatively smell-resistant. I'm also looking for a wet-proof bag to put in the diaper bag.

Any favorites?

Thanks,
Beth

For the nursery, we just picked up a regular garbage pail (like one made for a kitchen, it's tall and skinny, holds 3 days worth of diapers easy) with a lid and we use a Bummis liner. We have a mini Bummis bag for the diaper bag. The only time the diaper pail smells is if it's really full and we forget to close the lid for a few hours. We don't rinse poopy diapers and there still isn't a smell.

We reused a cat litter bucket for our diaper pail. We put the lid on loosely because smells only build up if it is sealed tight. I don't use a bag, but wipe the bucket down with vinegar and let it dry every once in awhile.

I use a kitchen garbage can with lid (the kind you push a button on the top to open). I have 2 wahmies bags I got for 15.95 each at abbyslane.com over 2 yrs ago. One goes in the washer with my dipe load and the clean one goes in the diaper pail.
For my diaper bag I have 2 mini wahmies wetbags that I alternate. I also had an XXL one custom made for trips to my sisters.

I use a large zippered wetbag with a hanging loop for my diaper pail. I also have a couple of smaller zippered wetbags for travel. Leslie's Boutique are the best ones I've found (I also have a PlanetWise but it isn't as good as the LB for holding in stink, and a Wet Happened which works well but lacks a hanger loop.)

when DD was 1st born we lived in a tiny 1bdrm apt & I only washed 1x a week at the laundromat......
-for a pail I used 2 5gal buckets (w/ lids) from the hardware store. I put a squirt of bac out in the bottom of each before filling. I also used a sprayer attached to the back of our toilet to spray poop off into the toilet. I rarely had stink problems.

-for the diaper bag I have several of these in the medium size

Planet Wise are the best - they have heat-sealed seams for no leaks, and great prints. The medium or the wet/dry are the best size for a diaper bag.

Kissaluvs has a new pail liner that has a safe antibacterial treatment and is a good price.

As for a pail, I have the big square 54-qt diaper pail, but that is overkill for most people. A 13-gallon trash can is fine.

Since you are in a small place, I would go with a hanging wetbag. That way you can just hang it on the changing table or a door knob and it doesn't take up any of your precious floor space! I like leslie's boutique and smjae on hyenacart.

We have a Goodmama hanging pail/wetbag. It hangs on the inside of the bathroom door. I loooooove it.
