My "Food" Resolution

Thread Starter
I am DETERMINED to get more vegetables (preferably organic) into my children.

Everywhere I look, I see that this supplement or that supplement should be used for good health, but then I'll find contradicting information claiming that this amount is too high or that formulation is not effective or certain manufacturing processes leave the supplements potentially unsafe.

BUT...most every supplement that I come across can be obtained naturally through vegetables. Green, leafy vegetables. Purple vegetables. Orange vegetables.

We eat vegetables but not nearly enough. That is going to change.

I hereby proclaim that I will make it a priority to feed my family at least one healthy salad a day, and several more servings of varied raw and cooked veggies.

So what's your food resolution?

More veggies in general. Having some vegetable at every meal. Even breakfast, it is possible.
Cutting out "extras", junk extras that contain white sugar or are overly processed.

Great idea for a thread.

cutting out fast food.

otherwise, we eat pretty well -- I cook a lot from scratch, my kids love veggies, and I am getting more TF all the time.

However, the dang drive thru taunts us when we are hungry and in a hurry - even though I know how awful it is.

More fermented foods! I've been eating pretty well lately, thanks to a gluten allergy, a peanut intolerance, and evil leaky gut that makes me feel cruddy if I eat poorly.

But I really need to get more healthy bacteria in to my diet. I made my own sauerkraut the other day which was fantastic, and now really need to branch out. The goal is to get something fermented at every meal.

More veggies, more organics, more fish, more meats from the locally raised meat shop when we eat meat.

Great thread!
