Decrease in Vaginal Discharge

Hello-
I am new to this forum. I am currently 34 1/2 weeks pregnant and a first time Mom. I had a very easy going pregnancy -besides the swine flu scare- and I am starting to get some discomforts now towards the end of the pregnancy. I think the baby is laying more on my bladder so I do feel my bladder a lot. It doesn't feel like a urinary tract infection. I had those before and they tend to progress quickly so I am assuming it is my baby on the bladder. Also, I used to have more vaginal discharge throughout the pregnancy but for the past week I think I am having less of the discharge and a dry feeling, occasional slight itch. They keep saying to watch out for an increase but I haven't heard of a decrease yet. It is always a bit of a hustle to get my OB. That's why I am hesitant to call in. Also, I think he is doing the B Strep Test next week and might just do them altogether if I go in now. I would like to follow a diet protocol before the B Strep Test because I don't want to get the antibiotics during labor so I can move etc.

Does anyone have experienced similar symptoms?
By the way I am German so please excuse any spelling or grammar mistakes. Just moved to CA 2 years ago

Hah, your spelling and grammar are great!

I don't know about a decrease? I'm having more dishcharge than ever. If you are not uncomfortable, I wouldn't worry about it, but if you are I would go in sooner than later.

Wanted to add: you could follow a hibicleanse protocol and get rid of most of the GBS. Maybe that would give you a quick negative on the test.

Thanks. What is a quick hibicleanse? How do you do it?

Your hormones are allllll over the place during pregnancy, so I'd say any variation in cervical mucus is probably within the range of normal. As long as it's not classic yeast infection signs (and if it is, you can get tested whenever you go in or do some stuff to treat it at home just in case) or a UTI, I wouldn't worry too much.

I do think the baby on the bladder is confusing. Baby moves and I need to pee INSTANTLY, but when I get to the bathroom all I can get out is a trickle because he's ON my bladder. That urge with no actual result makes me think "UTI" but it isn't.

I also have little to no discharge all the time, so this doesn't too abnormal for me.
