Does anyone have any experience with this? I know they have a points allotment for breastfeeding moms, but I don't know if it's enough. I'd really like to do something to loose a little weight, I seem to gain while I'm breastfeeding. With DD#1 I joined WW when she was 18 months old. I didn't get the extra points for a breastfeeding mom because you only get those if the breatmilk is the baby's primary source of nutrition and DD was just nursing twice a day at that point. Anyway my milk was completley gone by the end of the first week of following WW. DD#2 is almost 4 months this time around, so I'd be giving myself the extra breastfeeding points. I'm just nervous about loosing my milk again. If I do notice a decrease, if I stop WW will my milk come back?

I rejoined recently & it seemed like a good # of points. I'm not sure how many I'd get if I weren't nursing, but with the nursing allowance I get 36 points per day which isn't too shabby.
I think one option if you're concerned would be to track the # of points you eat normally over the course of a week & then maybe aim for 5-10 fewer points per day (depending on how many you're eating now). So kind of a semi-custom plan?

I did it after DD2 was a few months old and lost about 60 lbs on it. The way it is now, when your baby is exclusively breastfed you get an additional 10 points and when you start supplementing (either solids or formula) then you get 5 additional points. I was really happy with it, I just made sure to eat all my daily points and weekly extra points as well. I was within ~10 lbs of my goal weight when I got pregnant again, once this babe is a few months old I'll do it again. I did WW Online, the Flex (or Momentum it's now called).

Hi,
I work for WW part time and can tell you that you should not lose your milk while on WW. You actually should lose weight slowly, especially if you notice a sharp decrease in your supply. PP is correct, if not exclusively nursing, you only get 5 extra "nursing" points but can always use your extra 35 weekly points as well.
Make sure you drink plenty of fluids too and good luck! You can do this!
ETA: Just realized your babe is 4 months so you'd get the whole 10 points. Make sure you eat all your points, it should definitely be enough. WW does a LOT of research and fine tuning with this stuff.
