2 seconds on one side 2 seconds on the other

Hi there,

My dd 15months is finicky about nursing. She wants one side then the other and back and forth. During the day I endulge her or when at home. Tricky in public b/c I dont want to flash my boobs.
Problem is night time. Going to bed nurse on one side then she crawls and cries for the other. At first I thought it was supply but she will leave a nipple dripping with milk for the other and then back again. Trying to figure out boundaries to set. B/c the last few nights biting has been an issue too.

It might be tricky, but how do you think she would react if you told her that you were only going to do one side per nursing session? For instance, could you tell her that the other side was for next time? I would prepare her for this ahead of time.

I think I'll try it b/c right now i am being inconsistent and it's driving us both nuts. Sometimes I feel like she'll fall asleep better if I let her go back and forth and sometimes if she stays on one side. I am also trying to work a massage into the bedtime routine for when she cries and wants to nurse just on the other side.

My 16 mo does this too, mostly when she's feeling frisky. I let her for a bit, then I tell her it's time to settle down. This is only naptime and bedtime. She doesn't do it otherwise.

my 18month old ds does this too but i figured it was because i am 5 months preggo and my milk was declining. Maybe not though huh? I just let him do it a couple of times then i tell him "this one is night night" and he stays on the other one. Of course sometimes this causes a fit but most of the time he settles right down.
