My SIL is pregnant with #5 and is thinking of a homebirth or atleast a birth center. She is in the first trimester and has asked me to look up some midwives for her. Anyone have any leads?

Not quite in Rochester, but I have heard nothing but GOOD about Cecelia Stearns (midwife practicing in her own wing of the hospital-like a birth center)

A quick google brought up this contact info for her:

Catherine Burke @ Lakeside Hospital in Brockport. It's the closest thing to a birth center around that I know of. Catherine is amazing! I had a natural 42 hr labor there (no one ever pushed interventions on me).
